Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Signlingo Academy website and learning management platform (the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Signlingo Academy provides accessible learning tools for schools and organizations, including specialty tracks, practice activities, AI-assisted course creation features, and admin reporting.

We may update, improve, or discontinue parts of the Service over time. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes when practical.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for activity under your account.

Organization admins are responsible for managing users, roles, and learner data within their account in accordance with applicable law and their internal policies.

You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful educational and organizational purposes.

You may not misuse the Service, including by attempting unauthorized access, disrupting availability, uploading harmful content, or violating others’ privacy or intellectual property rights.

You may not reverse engineer, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product except as allowed by law.

Signlingo Academy and its licensors own the Service, including software, branding, and platform content we provide.

Schools and teachers retain rights to content they create or upload, and grant us a license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service.

Learners and staff must respect copyright and only upload material they have rights to use.

Some features use AI to help generate courses, simulations, or related materials. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed by a qualified teacher or admin before use with learners.

You remain responsible for how AI-assisted content is assigned and used in your program.

Paid plans, quotes, and demos are described separately in proposals or order forms. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except as required by law or agreed in writing.

Demo access is provided for evaluation and may be limited in scope or duration.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the Service will meet every accessibility or educational requirement for every learner.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signlingo Academy and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts paid by you to us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if no fees were paid.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
